WHAT IS MINIBRIDGE

MiniBridge is a simplified form of Bridge Game, the world's most popular card game. The idea for creating a light bridge version without the difficult bidding part and with a focus on playing was first developed in France and in the Netherlands.

MiniBridge is an excellent game in its own right but can also be seen as an precursor to learning bridge for all ages.

It is ideal for children. The benefits for children include improving skills in numeracy, problem solving, memory and concentration. Card playing helps children to identify numbers, similarities and sequences. Because MiniBridge is a partnership game children will also learn that they need to co-operate, share information and combine as a team to beat the opposition.

MiniBridge simplifies the progression to the full Bridge game. It enables you to start playing right away without having to know all the rules for bidding. Everything you learn in MiniBridge is relevant to bridge i.e. counting your points, how to play a declarer hand, defending, scoring, ... It's a great way to get started.

MiniBridge is much easier than bridge and anyone can start playing within half an hour. By the end of this tutorial you will be able to play MiniBridge with your friends or family
